This is a sample sipper designed for use in the field, such as industrial quality control and environmental tests, where the capability to examine a large number of sample within a minimal time is required.
The peristaltic sipper simplifies the measurement procedure for quick measurements of multiple samples by enabling nozzle insertion into the vial and return by pressing the nozzle lever. The sample can be recovered by revering the draining direction. It can be used with the ASU-605 automsapler. It permits measurement of 360 samples per hour.
Minimum sample volume for measurement is 0.7 ml. The operation of the instrument is described below referring the following timing chart.
The unit is operated simply by inserting the sampling tube into the sample solution and pressing start lever. The average amount of sample required is 0.7 to 1.0 ml and the sample can be recovered by reversing the pump.
Pressing the start lever the green "ready" lamp is on activates the peristaltic pump to start sample collection. The sample uptake can be adjusted by changing the rotating time of the peristaltic pump. The pump then stops for a specified waiting time after which measurement begins. After measurement, the pump rotates to drain or return the sample.
